A year at our school

Adam Crouch MP joined local public school leaders at Terrigal High School for the Central Coast Student Leaders and Networking Forum!

The forum was an opportunity to discuss challenges and opportunities facing our local schools, as well as catching up with our truly outstanding school leaders.

At our School Assembly, we celebrated the achievements of our students across many areas — from cultural exchanges in France, to Duke of Edinburgh Awards, and our inaugural 3x3 Volleyball competition.

We were thrilled to welcome Jeremy Kurucz (A/Deputy Secretary, Education and Skills Reforms), Kaz Scott (Chief of Staff, Office of the Secretary), Laura Milkins (Executive Director, Inclusion and Wellbeing), and Tim McCallum (Executive Director, Public Schools) from the Department of Education to Gosford High School as part of the Education Roadshow! Our students showcased classroom learning, shared a sneak peek of “Beauty and the Beast,” and had great discussions with the executives. Proud of our confident student leaders representing GHS!

Cross Country - Term 1

The students made the most of the beautiful weather, competing enthusiastically at our school cross country carnival at the end of Term 1. The event was filled with friendly competition and great sportsmanship. We are excited to be sending a team to represent our school at the Zone Cross Country Carnival in Term 2.

Open Boys Volleyball CHS Knockout Competition

A very high quality and incredibly close game was played out in the Open Boys Volleyball CHS Knockout Competition Vs Homebush Boys High recently. The GHS team made it through to the Round of 16 (becoming Central Coast Champions on the way), travelling to Homebush for their game. Homebush (just) won the first two sets, 25/23 and 27/25 respectively. The third set was dominated by the GHS team winning 25/10, looking like they were going to run away with the game; however, Homebush found their mojo again narrowly winning the 4th set 25/23. Congratulations to all of the players for coming so close to the quarter finals demonstrating their incredible skill level and excellent sportsmanship.
