A year at our school
ANZAC Day 2025
ANZAC Day holds a significant place in the heart of the Gosford High School community, as we pause to honour the service and sacrifice of the men and women who have served in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations. Our annual ANZAC assembly provided an opportunity for staff and students to reflect on the enduring values of courage, mateship and resilience that continue to define the Australian spirit.
This year’s ceremony was led with dignity and respect by our student leaders and cadets, who demonstrated maturity and empathy in delivering readings, reflections, and tributes. The respectful silence observed during the Last Post and the laying of the wreath served as a powerful reminder of the legacy left by our servicemen and women, and the importance of remembering their stories.
We are proud of our students for the reverence they showed throughout the ceremony and grateful to o Charlotte Gardiner, Lilla Peterson, Lewis Go, Harry Juneja, Andrew Jeong, Minh Mai
Harmony Day
Harmony Week is a national celebration of Australia’s rich cultural diversity and our shared commitment to inclusiveness, respect, and belonging. The theme "Everyone Belongs" remains at the heart of this celebration—a timely reminder of the importance of unity in diversity.
At Gosford High School, we are proud of our vibrant and diverse student body and the strong culture of inclusivity that defines our school community. Harmony Day is a much-loved tradition on our calendar, providing a special opportunity for the whole school to come together in a spirit of understanding and joy.
Due to a busy assessment period during the official Harmony Week with Year 12 students completing HSC tasks and Years 7 and 9 undertaking NAPLAN, GHS celebrated Harmony Day on the final Friday of Term 1. This adjustment ensured that every student could take part in the celebration.
Day 1, 2 and 3 of the Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award Adventurous Journey has flown by with all of the participants thoroughly enjoying themselves. After an initial day of navigation planning and hiking practice days 2 and 3 has seen the group building their canoeing and hiking endurance, and campsite skills.
The leadership, cooperation and resilience skills demonstrated so far has been truly impressive.
