Enrolment Information
Gosford High School is a leader on the Central Coast, achieving outstanding results across all year groups. Academic success is evident throughout Years 7–12, with our students consistently attaining exceptional HSC results as a reflection of their dedication and achievement. Our commitment to academic excellence is further strengthened through the wide range of gifted and talented opportunities we provide for students across the Central Coast region.

Gosford High School requires hard copies of all Year 8–11 applications. These must be either submitted in person at the school office or sent via mail.

Placements for Year 7 Application process are offered through the NSW Department of Education’s High Performance Students Unit.
Applications for Years 8 to 11 in 2027 will open in June 2026.

The arts have a long and proud history at Gosford High School, with a well-established band, regular school musicals and a range of creative and performing arts events throughout the year. Our students have represented the school at top level events such as Schools Spectacular and ArtExpress, demonstrating the important role the creative arts play in school life.
Tailored learning support
When things get tough, Gosford High School offers wrap-around support to ensure that students feel safe and supported, no matter the reason. Gosford High School staff know their students, allowing them to cater for the individual needs of students, both in and out of the classroom.
Gosford High School is a participant in the Resilience in our Teens program, which develops strategies and skills for developing the resilience needed to survive in a quickly-changing world, and we also integrate a range of other targeted interventions from study skills through to mental health support. Our students consistently speak highly of the care and time invested in their wellbeing.
Our students also demonstrate their outstanding sporting capabilities, with representation at various levels of competitive sport, alongside social sport opportunities. Gosford High School regularly tops our regional sporting carnivals, with the excellent sporting ability of our students on show across the Coast.
Our student leadership initiatives are second-to-none, with Student Representative Council membership open from Year 7, and a well-regarded Elite Leadership Force program providing opportunities for Year 10 leaders to further their leadership journey. Sports captains and our Senior Leadership Team play an important role in organising whole-school events and contribute actively to the vibrancy of the Gosford High School calendar.
